Learn About Google Drive & Google Apps

Find out all about the Google suite of tools, and how they can help you in organizing your life and work, on Wednesday, July 24 at 1:00 pm and again at 7:00 pm at Bernardsville Public Library. Learn how to access them, and what the advantages and the disadvantages are to using them. The program will include a brief overview of Gmail/Google Mail, Google Drive (formerly Google Docs), Google Calendar, Google Sites, and more. [Both sessions will cover the same material.]

Google Drive allows users to store and access their files on the web or on a hard drive. If they change a file on the web, on their computer, or on a mobile device, it updates on every device where they have installed Google Drive. It can make work easier, and sharing and collaborating more efficient.

Google Sites is another means of allowing people to work together on a site--to add file attachments, information from other Google applications (like Google Docs, Google Calendar, YouTube and Picasa), and new free-form content. The Google Sites web application is accessible from any Internet connected computer.

There is no charge to attend the program, but advance sign-up is requested. Register online at www.bernardsvillelibrary.org and follow the link from Adult Programs, or call the library at 908-766-0118 to sign up.
